EXAMPLES OF:
- The Guardian Angel (Gen 3:24) Guarded the way to the tree of life in the Garden of Eden.
- (Gen 21:17-19) Haga and Ishmail, God heard their prayer.
- (Gen 28:10-22) God met Jacob at Bethal when He was fleeing from Esau, and from that hour Jacob became a changed mind.
- (Exo 3:2-12) The Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in the wilderness and commissioned him to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt.
- (Judges 6:12-22) An Angel came to Gideon and told him to deliver, his people from the oppression of the Midianites.
- (1Kings 19:5-7) An Angel provided food for Elijah’s long journey to Mt. Hareb under the Juniper tree.
- (Isa 37:36) The Angel of the Lord in answer to Hezekials prayer slues the Great Assyrian host that came up against Jerusalem.
- (Luke 1:26-28) Gabrielle appeared to Mary and told her she was to be the mother of the Christ child.
- (Luke 1:11-19) Gabrielle also appeared to Zachrias in the temple and informed him that he would be the Father of John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ.
10.(Acts 5:19) An Angel opened the prison doors and released the Apostles so that they might preach the Gospel.
11.(Acts 10) An Angel of the Lord came to Camelious and told him to send for Peter who would teach him and his house the way of Salvation.
12.(Acts 12:7-11) An Angel of the Lord came into the locked prison where Peter awaited execution by Herod and led him to safety.
13.(Acts 27:23) An Angel appeared to Paul who was in a ship tossed by the storm and gave him good news, that all on board would be saved.
14.(Jude 9) Michael the Archangel contended for the body of Moses.
WHO AND WHAT ARE ANGELS?
- (Heb 1:13-14) Ministering spirits sent faith to minister for them who shall be the heirs of Salvation.
- They are princes of heaven who stand before God.
- (Heb 13:2) They can appear as physical beings at their own choosing, but do not have physical bodies.
- (Acts 10:30)(Dan 10:6) They may show themselves in their full heavenly glory.
THE ORDER OF ANGELS; (AUTHORITY AND POWER)
- SERAPHIM: 3 Pairs of wings. Attendants of the Lord (Isa 6:1-8) and have special duties in proclaiming the Holiness of the Lord.
- CHERUBIM: 2 Pairs of wings. The Guard of the throne of God.
- ARCHANGEL: No wings
- GUARDIAN ANGELS: No wings
NOTE: a) They don’t marry and spoken of in the masculine form (Math 22:30)
- b) They do not die, they are immortal (Luke 20:36)
- c) They are innumerable (Heb 12:22)(Rev 5:11)
- d) They protect and guard and watch over us continually. (Psa 91:11-12)
- e) They deliver the message and leave quickly. They do not allow worship of themselves. (Rev 22:8-9)
- f) They are super intelligent but do not know everything. (Mark 13:32) (1Peter 1:12)
- g) They depend on God for the victory against the devil. (Jude 8,9)(Dan 10)

ARCHANGELS:
- MICHAEL: One of the chief Princes who stand for Daniel’s people, Israel. He will fight for them in the “Great Tribulation” and bring deliverance to them. (Dan 12:1-2) He is seen as commanding the Angelic “Army of Heaven”. He cast Satan and his Angels down out of Heaven in (Rev 12: 7-9) He also has something to do with the resurrection of the dead, for He is associated with the resurrection mentioned in (Dan 12:1-2) and (Jude 9). The voice of the Archangel that will be heard when the dead in Christ shall rise (1Thess 4:16) will be His.
- GABRIELLE: He is associated with the redemptive work of God. (Dan 8: 15-17) He explained to Daniel the vision of Medo Persian and Greek Kingdoms. He came in answer to Daniel’s prayers and gave him the famous 70 weeks prophesy which foretold the time of the coming of the Messiah. (Dan 9:11-20) He stands in the presence of God. Also telling of the forerunner of Christ, John the Baptist.
- LUCIFER: The fallen Archangel. He is the source of all anarchy and rebellion in the universe. He is a created being and was that of a most exalted type before his fall. He was the Guardian protector of the throne of God. He was perfect in all his ways until iniquity was found in him. He was the fullness of wisdom. Perfect beauty, but it was his beauty that caused his pride that caused his downfall. He was clothed in garments that were covered with the most rare and precious gems. (Ezek 28:11-19) He dwelt in Eden, the garden of God, referring no to the Earthly Eden but the paradise of God on high, for Satan dwelt on the Holy mount of God. The cause of Satan’s fall is shown in
(Isa 14:12-20) Lucifer the Son of morning (Isa 14:4) The morning stars in (Job 38:7) were probably other created ruling brings like himself, they sang together, and all the sons of God, (Angels) should for Joy.
THE MINISTRY OF GUARDIAN ANGELS:
(Math 18:10) Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven – the little children (Math 18:1) (Math 18:3) Angels protect Angels protect children with limited Authority. If a child is born of wicked parents and anything good is found in the child, the Lord may allow that child to be taken from them so that it will not grow up in an evil environment that would contaminate it. (1Kings 14) God will let the Angel take that child to paradise to receive proper instruction, unless they are passed the age of understanding. An Angel of this type will only look after a child up to the age of understanding (1Cor 7:14) (Acts 16:31)
RECORD BOOKS KEPT ANGELS:
- Unconfessed sin: (1Cor 4:9)(Ecc 5:6) They record the sin that you do not ask forgiveness for (i.e.) Those not under the blood of Christ, are put in the book. (Acts 3:19)
- Book of Remembrance: Your righteous deeds are recorded forever in a book of remembrance (Mal 3:16) if you do them in the name of Jesus. But those who do it for selfish reasons or gain or vain glory, will have no reward. (2Cor 5:10/3:12-15)
ANGELS AND INTERCESSORS:
Angels mark intercessors (Eze 9:1-6). If you sigh and cry out for the world abominations they will put a mark on your forehead and protect you. This is special Angelic protection. (Psa 91:10-13).
THERE IS NO FRATERNIZING BETWEEN ANGELS AND MEN
- Jacob asked the Angel his name (Gen 32:29)
- You will not die if you see an Angel. (Judas 6:22-23)(Judges 13:6) They are not deity, they are created beings who respect guard the interests of God.
- In Pauls day there was a cult who worshipped angels (Col 2:18)
- John wanted to worship the Angel. (Rev 22:8-9)
WHEN WILL AN ANGEL LEAVE?
When people will not walk with God. (Gen 19:16-17)(Luke 17:31-32) Turn from your evil past and wrestle with God in
prayer. (Gen 32:26 Jacob)
BALAAM AND THE ANGELS
- (Num. 24:17) He prophesied with special beauty and power.
- (Num. 22:12) He did not listen to God and led to his undoing.
- So the Lord sent an Angel to show him his sin, which appeared first to the donkey, and then to him.
- (Rev 2:14) But he did not repent.
- (Joah 13:22) He became a soothsayer and died under Gods judgment.
NOTE: Do not make God your enemy or else your Angels will turn on you.

THE ANGELS TASK AT THE DEATH OF A BELIEVER
Lazarus Guardian Angel carried him to Abraham’s bosom (Luke 16:22)

- b) Over comers will be the bride of Christ (Rev 19:7-9)
THE ANGELIC MINISTRY OF JUDGMENT
- (Math 24:29-31) The Angels will be given the task of gathering together the elect at the 2nd coming of Christ. (Michael)
- (Jude 9)(Math 24:31)(Math 27:51-52) The Angels will contest the bodies in the resurrection, as in (Jude) Satan will try to prevent it because they will augment the Saints. (This is the righteous dead.) They will meet the Lord in the air and those who are alive. Also the saints of the Old Testament times already resurrected.
7 RANKS OF ANGELS:
- Guardian Angels – over little ones
- Ministering Angels – concerned with the heirs of salvation
- Elect Angels – responsibility over the churches
- Mighty Angels – heavens warriors
- Arch Angels – concern for & church in general
- Cherubim – the protectors of Gods Holiness
- Seraphim – concerned with mans sinfulness and Gods redemption.
