Spiritual Prosperity starts at rebirth, where you accept Jesus as your Saviour and make Him Lord of your life, your Spirit is reborn and brought into fellowship with your Father, the Almighty God. This then puts you in position to receive from Him all the things promised in His word.
Mental Prosperity
To prosper in your soul, you must be able to control your mind, your will, your emotions. Just because you have accumulated a large amount of knowledge does not mean that your mind is prosperous. Prosperity of the mind comes when you use the knowledge that has been accumulated. When you are controlling your mind, instead of your mind controlling you. (2 Cor 10:5) Says, we are to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts its’ self against the knowledge of God. (Word of God) bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. You cannot control your mind completely without the word of God being alive and operating inside you.
NOTE: The Choice is Yours:
(Deut 30:19) God said, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you:- Life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live”. You can show your emotions, but do not be moved by them. (e.g.) Jesus wept, but He still raised Lazarus from the Dead.
Physical Prosperity (Senses)
The world’s definition is: Gold; silver; financial favor; Power; Political favor or power; social favor or power;. The World’s definition of Prosperity of the Soul, is knowing it all. Put these two together and you have a person who can use his mind to get financial and political power. This is the world’s total concept of Prosperity
NB!! When you are walking in the word of God, you will be in health and prosper.
Spiritual and Physical Laws Nothing is by accident. There are laws controlling the world of the Spirit and there are laws of the world of the Natural.
NOTE: Spiritual Laws are greater, and supersede Natural laws.
e.g.: Faith is a “Spiritual Force”, a “Spiritual Energy”, a “Spiritual Power.” It is the Force of Faith which makes the Laws of the Spirit world function. When the force of Faith is put to work, these laws of the Spirit function according to the way God says that they will. (Rom 8:2) (Prov 19:2) It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.
The World’s System Vs The God’s System
God’s system is totally adequate, so don’t limit God. Look to God, He will give to you. God’s system of healing surpasses the world’s. God made us, so He knows how to repair us.
NOTE: True prosperity is God manifesting Himself to us in His word. It is the ability to use God’s power to meet the needs of mankind in any realm of life.
NB!! Money is the lowest form of power on the Earth. Prayer is the highest form of power.
Is it Scriptural to have Money?
(Phil 4:19) Our needs are met according to His riches in Glory, by Christ Jesus.
(Isa 58:14) Delight thyself in the Lord, and I will cause thee to ride upon the High Places of the Earth. (Isa 1:19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. (Mark 11:24) What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (James 4:2) Ye have not, because ye ask not. God said, “If you will meditate in “My Word”, you will prosper and have good success.” That is, you will deal wisely in all the affairs of life. If you do this prosperity will be no problem.
Poverty Vs Prosperity (Deut 28)
Blessings come by obeying the word of God. The curse spells out total lack and poverty.
God did not curse Adam, He made a garden for him. Satan brought the curse when Adam united with him. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us. Give and it shall be given unto you. Thus believe the Lord for Prosperity, receive it, then give it away. This is a valuable sacrifice, it really means something.
How to Meditate on the word of God:
Apply the word to you personally
Allow the Holy Spirit to make God’s word a reality in your heart.
Carefully ponder how this word applies to your life.
Dwell on how this word from the Lord changes your situation.
Place yourself in agreement with what God’s word says about you.
See yourself as God sees you.
Begin to realize the integrity of God’s word.
NB!! You must commit yourself to the fact that God’s word is true and that it works!
Your Heavenly Account (Math 6:20) All our money is in the “Heavenly bank Account”, and can be withdrawn only if we ask for it, in the Name of Jesus. No man has given until he has given all that he has.
Deposits:
There are four main areas that we can use in giving:
- Tithing
- Alms to the poor.
- Investing in the Gospel
- Giving as a praise to the Lord
- Tithing:
This is the first fruit (one tenth) that belongs to God. It was introduced in (Deut 26). When God introduced it to Israel.
- i) (Col 1:13) We have entered into our inheritance, in Jesus Christ and posses it with His Name.
ii) (Verse 2,3)Says to take the first fruits of all the Earth to the High Priest, Jesus.
iii) (Deut 26) Make a confession before your High Priest as such:
I profess this day unto the Lord God that I have come into the inheritance which the Lord swore to give me. I am in the land which you have provided for me, in Jesus Christ, the Kingdom of Almighty God. I was a sinner serving Satan, He was my God, but I called on the name of Jesus and you heard my cry and delivered me from the power and authority of darkness and translated me into the Kingdom of your own dear Son. Jesus, as my Lord and High Priest, I bring the first fruits of my income to you and worship the Lord my God with it. I rejoice in all the good which you have given to me and my household. I have heartened into the voice of the Lord my God and have done according to all that He has commanded me to do. Now look down from your Holy habitation from Heaven and bless us as you said in your word. (Deut 26:10) Says that the High Priest will set the tithes before God and worship Him with them. (Malac 3:10) God will pour out a blessing on the tither more than he can receive.
- Giving to the Poor: (Prov 19:17)
“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord, and that which he hath given he will pay him again.” Give to their physical needs, as well as their spiritual needs. Tell them about Jesus. Giving anonymously will give you more fun than you could realize.
- Investing in the Gospel (Mark 10:29)
“No one has lift house, brethren, sisters, father, mother, wife, children, lands, for my sake and the Gospel’s, but he shall receive 100 fold now in this life time. (1 Cor 13:3) Give because you love God, love must be your motive. (2 Cor 9:7) Give as you propose in your heart. The Great Commission (Mark 16:15) Go! We are obligated to this, Everyone is to function in this commission, and those that do, have a right to expect 100 fold return. (Luke 6:38) Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down, so then, together shall men give unto you.
- Giving as a Praise to God:
This is a sacrificial offering that Israel made to God. God inhabits the Praises of His people.
(Psa 22:3) He will maintain our right over cause when we praise Him. (Psa 9:1-4) David was a prosperous man, the bible says He was a man after God’s own heart.
How to make withdrawals from your heavenly account:
(Malachi 3:10) Says to prove God with your tithe. The windows of Heaven actually mean floodgates, used in (Gen 7:11) where the Earth was flooded. (Malachi 3:110 Says, “and I will rebuke the devourer for your sake, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,” saith the Lord of Hosts. “And all Nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delight some land,” saith the Lord of Hosts.
The Power of Agreement: (Mark 11:23) (Math 18:19-20)
If two or more agree on Earth as touching anything that they shall ask.
The Power of Confession (Mark 11:23)
You can have what you say. (Math 12:37) Jesus said, “By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thy shalt be condemned. Words are containers, carrying, Faith, Love, Fear, Hate, or they can be empty. (Math 12:36) We will stand in judgment for every idle word.
The Power of Standing Expectantly on the Word:
(James 2:17) Faith without works is dead. (Heb 1:3) God upholds everything by His word. His word will not pass away.
God’s Laws of Prosperity
NOTE: When giving you deposit money into your heavenly bank account, but to withdraw or receive from God, use this formula to receive the blessing of Abraham.
- Decide on the amount that you need. Do not be double minded, otherwise you will not receive anything from the Lord. (James 1:7,8)
- Get into agreement according to (Math 18:19,20). Ask God the Father in Jesus Name, bind or loose the situation.
- Lay hold of it by Faith. (Mark 11:23,24) Note:- you must believe it in your Spirit and confess it with your mouth.
- Bind the Devil and his forces in Jesus Name. Realize your Authority as a believer and order Satan out of your financial affairs. (Mark 16:17) (James 4:19) (Eph 6:10) Note:- It is the Father’s role or the husbands role to do this, because he is the spiritual head.
- Loose the Forces of Heaven. (Heb 1:14) Angels are sent forth to minister to those who shall be heir of salvation. (The Sons of God) Note:- Angels are obligated to the Word of God, when used in the Name of Jesus. (Psa 103:20)
- Praise God for the answer. Note:- Praise keeps the door open wide for Abundance, it keeps the channel clear so that you can receive from God. God inhabits praise.
Walking in Prosperity
He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he proposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity, God loveth a cheerful giver. (2 Cor 9:6-11)
So give cheerfully and generously, God will cause every blessing to come to you. He wants you to be able to give to others, to help meet their needs, therefore He will multiply your resources for giving. This is the way God’s system works.
NOTE:- Satan is strife. It is deadly, and it brings disease on its wings. (James 3:16) says, “Where strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” Strife is the number one tool of Satan. Faith works by Love, and love never fails. Jesus said, “to take heed what ye hear.” (Math 4:23-25) Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for those who despite fully use you. Give to every man that asketh of thee. Jesus said, “If you have something against a brother, go to him and try to settle it, if nothing is settled take along another brother and then before the whole Church.” (Math 18:15-17)
Confession before God:
My heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I have seen in your word a glimpse of a life free from strife, free from unforgiveness, and full of your love and peace. Lay hold of it now by Faith and confess that your love is active in my home. I commit myself to perfect the love of God in my heart and life and bring it to a place of predominance. Jesus is my Lord. You are my Father and I am your child. I am born of the Love of God and this in me never fails through the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank you Father, “Praise you for it in Jesus Name.”
3 Tithes of Israel
- 1st Tithe for the Levites. (Deut 14:27) (Lev 27) (Num 18)
- 2nd Tithe for the Individual Himself and his household. to cover costs and expenses at the National Feasts, so there would be no excuse for not going. (Deut 24:22 12:11,21) This was a yearly tithe, though not counted as giving to others.
- 3rd Tithe was only every 3 years between the Sabbaths, for the Levites, Poor, Stranger, Fatherless, Widow. It is a charity tithe to relieve suffering of Poor Neighbors. (Verse 28,29) It was a command over the 3 year period, giving increase to the Nations Tax for the Poor, at Three and a third percentage.
NB!! It was not taken to the Place of worship as the other 2 tithes were, but distributed locally throughout the 3 years.
To redeem your tithe you had to add on 20% (Lev 27:31)
Tithing was practiced 430 years before the Law. (Gen 14:20) (Heb 7:1-11)
Tithe of all you possess (Luke 18:12) even on Interest.
